Media Accreditation

Applications for Media Accreditation must be submitted by February 25. Late applications will not be considered.

In addition to applying, all media must purchase a Press level pass to be considered for accreditation. The Press Office does not provide complimentary passes to journalists.

After reviewing your application, the Press Office will notify you via e-mail on the status of your request. If your application is approved, details will be sent to you with pass purchase instructions.

If your accreditation is denied and you would still like to attend and cover the Festival without accreditation, you may purchase any other available pass level on March 1 when pass sales open to the general public. Please see the website for details.

The Press Office reserves the right to approve or deny accreditation.

Returning Journalists

If you attended the 2025 Telluride Film Festival as an accredited journalist, submit your 52nd TFF coverage and fill out the Returning Media Application Here.

Please note: if you fail to provide past festival coverage, accreditation will automatically be denied.

If you covered the Telluride Film Festival in the past but recently changed media affiliation, please apply as a New Applicant to this year’s Festival.

New applicants

New applicants are required to submit the following and fill out the New Media Accreditation Application Here:

  • A letter of assignment from your editor on official company letterhead. This letter must include detailed information on the type, extent and publication time of the planned coverage.
  • A recent film festival or film-related article written by you with an attached byline and date.
  • A recent digital copy of the complete publication you are seeking accreditation for.
  • A completed Telluride Film Festival Media Accreditation Request Form

One applicant per request form. If your outlet is seeking accreditation for more than one person, your editor may write a single letter of assignment, however each applicant’s name must be clearly listed.
